When your article is distributed to article banks, directories, ezines and high traffic blogs your resource box at the end becomes your selling point. Yes, I know it's a soft sell. Nevertheless, it is a place to sell something related to your insightful article.
Don't leave anymore money on the table through missed opportunities. Here are 10 tips to update your article resource box and prosper:
1. Commit to include a resource box in every article you write. This is what Internet marketers call soft sell marketing. If the recipient of your article forwarded your information to someone, the new contact will have what they need to contact you.
2. Create a unique resource box for each item you sell (product or service.) Savvy article marketers develop several boxes for each thing they sell. For example, you might develop one for a book, another one for your business, and another one for your free ezine or report.
3. Place benefits to your audience in your resource box. Don't forget to let your reader know what's in it for them. How will they look after using your product? What will they be able to do after putting your principles into practice? Hint at what's in it for them after they take advantage of this powerful free resource you are offering.
4. Include 2 hyperlinks or website URLs. Most article directories and ezines will allow an article writer to include at least 2 website URLs in their signature file or resource box. Use both; direct one to your offer and the other to the general website or sales page.
5. Grab attention with the first line of your resource box. Just in case your reader is thinking about leaving the page right after reading the article. Craft a provocative question. Or speak to their pain or frustration of trying to make the principle work without help. Even a direct invitation to help will grab attention. Then make your offer.
If you don't update your article resource box, the stack of money left on the table representing increased publicity, prospects and profits may continue to grow. So, take the secret tips above and write your resource box with the single purpose of getting your reader to click through to your website.
Persuade people to click the link to that free offer where your auto responder or your web site collects their email for future promotions. Do this every time you write an article and reap the rewards of every opportunity to sell yourself, your product or service.
