Short Articles to Market Your Business by: Earma Brown Simple Tips to Put Your Short Articles on the Speedway to Sales.
Focus on solving one problem or explaining one how-to in each article. Implement the following tips and you will be admitted to the winner's circle of frequently published article writers: 1. List five topics you are passionate about in your niche area. Topics that you believe you can be excited about for the next year or so. Readers enjoy reading material where the enthusiasm is evident. Your passion and enthusiasm will be contagious. Your readers will make sure it spreads when they tell all their friends about your insightful information. 2. Choose a format for your article. Select from the easy formats of question/answer, problem/solution, tips sheet, myth/truth or how-tos explained in ways, secrets. If you don't know the best way to format your articles for easy writing, keep reading. The next section walks you through 8 formats that will get you started. 3. Select a working title. Researchers say you have 4 seconds to hook your potential reader. An excellent title is short. The top titles are benefit driven. Don't forget to heat them up with emotion. Use terms your audience can relate to. Use action words and verbs. Quantify change with ways and time limits. Use one or two word ideas to tell a story. Pledge change. Spark interest. 4. Widen your audience. When targeting your audience focus on solutions to widen your reach. For example you exclude a lot of people (that think they are not interested in a home business or can't relate to doing business at home) if you write an article about home business solutions and title it "How to Start a Home Business Part-time." But if you create an article about home business solutions and title it "How to Create Multiple Streams of Income" You would widen your audience for a whole lot more people are interested in gaining multiple streams of income. 5. List 5 to 10 questions, problems, myths your article will solve, answer or explain the truth about. You could poll your site visitors or existing readers or subscribers to find out their questions. Also, you can list the most frequently asked questions in your field to provide answers to in your short article. Finally, include a short summary. Don't leave your readers hanging. Write only a sentence or two to sum things up. Point out the benefits of your information. Use the Speedway Formula to article writing and publish faster so your prospects and clients will read them and buy from you. © Earma Brown, 11-year author, entrepreneur and web developer |
